Canopy Management

Canopy management is comprised of a number of in-season practices performed to direct the vineyard’s growth toward the production of optimal fruit quality.  As the season progresses, windows of opportunity for each of these tasks open and close so it is critical that each job be completed at the appropriate time.  Work tasks considered part of Canopy Management are suckering, shoot thinning, catch wire movement, shoot positioning, leaf thinning, crop thinning and hedging.  Northwest Vineyard Service has the experience and expertise to ensure these tasks are completed on time and to the caliber desired by the client.
