Soil Amendments and Deep Ripping
Root Penetration is vital to ensure a vine maximizes
the uptake of nutrients and minerals available in a
given soil. Deep ripping fractures and blends the
soil layers allowing for faster establishment,
saturation of the root zone, and greater uniformity
in the vineyard. Adding soil amendments prior to
ripping allows the amendment to disperse through a
greater volume of substrate adding to the efficacy
of the material. We offer detailed soil chemistry
mapping, which allows us to accurately apply
amendments using a GIS enabled delivery system based
on actual nutrient gradients.
