Seth Schwebs
Viticulturist &
Technical Services Manager
"In the vineyard we have a much greater ability to
affect the quality of grapes than the wine maker
does in the winery. So it’s up to us to identify
what the vines needs in order to perform well.
Usually vines are willing to tell you what they
need; it’s up to us to listen to them. This
requires a great deal of experience, creativity and
patience. At NVS, I enjoy working with a very
experienced team. Our leadership has the experience
to put together plans to effectively build and
manage vineyards. Our field personnel have a great
deal of experience and ability to execute our plans,
which is key to the plant's success. I also enjoy
incorporating new technologies in vineyard
management. While we understand technology will
never replace a knowledgeable set of eyes in the
vineyard, we are always evaluating and incorporating
new technologies into our management practices."
